Morning Walk Photos 8/3/2017

We're supposed to get rain and storms throughout the day today and, because of that, I wasn't sure if I was going to get some walking in today. However, I managed to go for a short walk along the lake this morning and, even though it was pretty dark out, stayed dry.

There must be a heron convention in town or something. Normally, I'm lucky to see one or two of them while on my walks. This morning, I saw seven of them in total. I also saw some goose-like (non-Canadian) bird swimming on the lake. I didn't recognize what it was (all I could see was its long neck sticking out from under the water) and it was too far away to get a good look at it. Maybe I'll have more luck next time around.

Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Tailgater Pizza

  When my wife and I decided on pizza for dinner last night, I stopped at Kwik Trip with the intention of just buying a cheap, frozen, cheese pizza for our daughters since we already had another pizza in our freezer. However, as I was walking up to the checkout counter, this particular pizza caught my eye and, even though I wasn't crazy about spending $8.99 when I already had another option at home, I was intrigued enough to make the purchase anyway. Review: I came across Abigail on Peacock a few days ago and, while I was concerned the trailer gave away too much of the movie for me to be surprised by it, I gave it a chance last night.
