In the Way (A Poem)

Do you really need to stand there?

I don’t mean to sound so rude.

It’s just there’s something I need to get

And you’re in the way, dude.

Grocery aisles are for shopping.

Not for long conversations on your phone.

Plus, why is your grocery cart turned sideways?

I could get around if you weren’t out of your zone.

Do you even need to be here?

It doesn’t seem like you even have a list.

If I didn’t know better,

I’d think you were just standing around the store to make people pissed.

Don’t take this personally.

I’m probably just grumpy after being at work all day.

However, I do need to ask,

Don’t you have something better to do than to be in the way?

You don't need to go home.

By all means, feel free to stay.

Just, for the love of God,

Stop being in the way!
